なんか某作業の合間に研究って感じになってるけど，昨日に続いて"Possessives in English: An Exploration in Cognitive Grammar"(Taylor, J. R. Oxford University Press, 2001)を読んでいたら’sをgenitive of possesion: my broher’s books, the earth’s crustgenitive of origin: the pheassant’s nest, nature’s workthe subjective genitive: Elizabeth’s reign, the horse’s breathingthe objective genetive: Gordon’s murder, their kingdom’s lossthe genitive of measure: an hour’s interval, a shilling’s worththe genetive of apposition: Tweed’s fair river, treason’s charge というように分類をしているらしい．この例を見ると"A’s B"も日本語の「AのB」と同じように，語彙の意味1に依存してるっぽい… ...
